ASSOCIATION PROREC BULGARIA
The association PROREC Bulgaria, established at 14 the February 2002, is a non-profit, non-governmental organization, registered according to the current Bulgarian law on the Juridical persons with non-profit activities.
The main goals of PROREC Bulgaria are as follows:
  • the dissemination of information on EHCRs and the provision of health related services to all the agents involved in the sector: medical associations, healthcare and governmental organisations, users, IT providers, standardization bodies, etc
  • raising awareness of the current situation and critical issues in the healthcare sector in the country, and the potential and implications of EHCRs in the context of the Bulgaria accession to EU
  • providing the required contacts between users, suppliers, and national authorities concerned with policy and resource provision in healthcare
  • building criteria for evaluating and purchasing healthcare IT solutions, and a degree of information about accreditation of products and companies,  building  up an independent interface between standards and its application, becoming a mediator of national  academic, industry, and healthcare organizations as well as acting as promoter of successful innovations and new concepts.
By conducting its activities the Association PROREC Bulgaria will aim at achieving the following targets and results:
  • Country’s permanent and open organization to promote awareness activities related to Electronic Health  Records.
  • Organization’s independence and non-profit orientation
  • Deep understanding of the domain and the actors at national, regional and international levels
  • Flexibility in operations and its recognition as a trustworthy party
  • Adequately  to  collect  and disseminate  the  information  on  existing products, standards, methodologies, techniques through information channels by establishing  a Call center/ Helpdesk/ Infopoint.
  • Advisory actions, monitoring and accreditation activities.
  • Provision of Added Value Services where it is possible
  • Work in a net of similar and partner organizations at European and International levels
  • Participation in existing networks and partnering in international projects 
The Association PROREC Bulgaria is a founder member of EUROREC Institute.
